Carol Lynley

Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and a New England mother. Before becoming an actor, she began her modeling career as a young model. She was awarded the Theatre World Award as "one of the most promising performers during 1956-57" for her role in The Potting Shed. Lynley's film career began in the year 1958, with the Disney film The Light in the Forest. Holiday for Lovers (1959), Blue Denim (1959) followed. For her film The Light in the Forest Lynley was nominated in 1959 for the Golden Globe Award. The following year she was once again nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Female Newcomer for the film Blue Denim.
