Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Most famously, she is known for her character Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and has also directed produced and performed in her own films Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also acted as the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle, who works as an artist. Benson was a member of the Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother is a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish through her father, is as well Jewish. Benson is a performer in numerous movies and TV shows since Buffy was over, most notably The Killing Jar.
