Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child, was born to the family of South London. Her father and mother are both English. She was born on the south London community estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. It was the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained a BA degree in acting. In her time at the school, she performed in a variety of stage productions including King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began acting with Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Her success has led her to be cast in Elisha in a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in the six-episode series Trexx and Flipside as Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi who was the leading character on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired at The CW for only two episodes before being ended. She was cast in February 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the series' first two seasons as an regular. However, in May of 2013, it was announced that announcement was made that she would leave the show after her appearance as a guest on the first episode of the series' third season. The actress played Tituba in the series Salem in 2014 until. Then, in June of 2012 the actress was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. Her parents, Roy and Patty, as well as the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey in the winter and summer months. She grew up in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley did not walk; instead, she was a dancer. At age two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, jazz and tap in the high divisions. Ashley was awarded the best soloist awards at all of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
