Her debut song Here was released in 2015. The song was widely acclaimed by both critics and listeners. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked the single at 19. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. In the same year, she released the album she titled Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the original five songs. In her interview with Rap-Up, many listeners spoke about Cara's journey to self-love and her doubts. Cara's tracks often contain positive thoughts about mental health and how important it is to love yourself. She's been in the midst of anxiety and insomnia, both of which affected her life. According to a Reuters interview she describes the album as being half turbulent and half complete. Therapy helped her grow and encourages other people to seek help if necessary. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since 1996. Her parents have Italian heritage. When she was just 10 years old her parents gave her a guitar, which was the foundation of her love for music. She began to cover her favourite songs at age 13 to prove to everyone that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be the next singer. Sweater Weather is among the covers that resulted in her being noticed to be signed by EP Entertainment. This record label let her write new songs of her own.
