Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs of 2015. That same year she debuted her debut album Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also one of the five original songs. The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with the Rap-Up show, many fans were inspired by her story through self-doubt and discovering how to accept herself. Cara has a reputation for incorporating messages about emotional health, kindness, and love of self in her music. The music that she has written stems from her personal struggles to conquer mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to a Reuters' interview, she has said that her album was half turbulent but half perfected. She found that therapy helped her grow and urges other artists to follow the same path. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian artist since the year 1996. Her parents come from Italian heritage. Her parents gave her a guitar when she was 10, and it brought her to music. In the age of thirteen, she began singing songs she liked on YouTube to prove to her fans that she had talent and had the courage to make a profession of an artist. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather got her attention by a record label named EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write the songs.
